Culled from Lust Never Sleeps volumes 1-3, Taves has remixed and reinterpreted recordings from the Copenhagen, Dortmund and Vienna performances and filtered them through a distinctively trademark lens of analog and digital feedback, distortion, chaos, and unrelenting beauty. Interjected with McGrath’s voice and writing, and inspired as much by Neil Young’s Arc/Weld and Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music as it is the tender and intimate folk-oriented shows that provided the source material, Lust Never Sleeps, Vol. 4 is the sound of jet lag and sleeplessness and channels the disconnected, homesick relationship between space and time when one travels for a living.
