about

From 2006-2009 I was in a band called The Wild Dogs which featured Frank Derek Pirker on bass, Matt McKeen on guitar and a revolving door of drummers including Corin Roddick and Mark Chmilar.

We played incessantly and toured a lot, but because of a lot of factors--namely the amount of substances we'd consume before, during and after performances--we could barely ever find it within ourselves to get all of our members and gear to the show, let alone get in the same room to make a record and find a proper release.

Despite the self-destructive nature of what we did I really do think that there's a ton of cherished memories we shared that I wouldn't trade for anything, and somewhere within the torrential maelstrom of intoxication that Wild Dogs was, there was also a ton of great music that we made together, most of which has been lost forever.

Not everybody loved it, some people hated it, but we did it, and as time fades away ultimately that's all that matters.

The closest we ever got to a release was four live-off-the-floor recordings we tracked once in Jon Beleshko's basement, and along with the scattered amount of live stuff that's still out there somewhere, it's time that some of these recordings that do exist finally saw the light of day.

Growing up is tough, but looking back is tougher. Nostalgia and Jameson makes for a deadly one night stand.
