"Screaming Hell" was recorded in my parents' basement during the summer of 2009 (I think...?) over a period where I was listening to a lot of Son House and Discharge.

I felt kind of reawakened by punk rock due to the thawing of the snow, so I borrowed a Fender Deluxe from my friend Ariane and skipped class to write what I thought was going to be a really heavy record. I would write a riff and base drum and bass parts around it, recording it instrumentally, and writing lyrics as kind of an afterthought.
